Problems uploading
My track won't upload
If you're having problems uploading your track, please ensure that:
- Double-check to ensure all of the required inputs have been completed. Lyrics and website addresses are optional.
- You are uploading an MP3 track encoded at either 128, 192, 256 or 320 kbps at a constant bit-rate (CBR). Tracks encoded in Variable Bit-rate format (VBR) will cause undesirable effects during playback, and are liable to removal by a moderator.
- Your image size does not exceed 50kb.
- You are using an Internet Explorer, Firefox or Opera web browser. AOL users should minimise their AOL software and open their default web browser. Safari users experiencing problems on their Macs should try Firefox or Internet Explorer for the mac.
- When the upload is is progress, do not navigate away from the page or close the browser window. Wait for a response from the server, which will be displayed on the web page.
I uploaded a graphic, but it doesn't show
Re-upload your track, ensuring you are trying to upload a JPEG or GIF image, no greater than 50KB in size. The best dimensions are 150 x 150px. The drop an email to info@democrazy2007.com to tell us you've uploaded the track again, and we'll delete the old one. Please remember to let us know, as a moderator may delete your newly uploaded track, thinking it's simply a duplicate entry.
The lyrics I uploaded appear with errors
Solution: A change to the coding of the site should now have resolved this problem.
Problems Listening
The tracks won't play
If you aren't getting any sound, check your speakers are on and the volume on both the speakers and your PC is turned-up; obvious, but many people do overlook this!
- The Flash-based audio will work with the following major browsers: Internet Explorer 6+; Firefox 1.5+; and Opera 8+ .
- Safari users experiencing problems on their Macs should try Firefox or Internet Explorer for the mac.
- Democrazy won't work with AOL's browser software. This is due to blocks AOL puts on JavaScript and Flash-to-server communication. These can be circumvented by using the site in Internet Explorer or Firefox instead. All AOL users can do this by minimising their AOL software and opening their default web browser.
The site tells me I've already downloaded it
